Domino's Pizza is an American pizza restaurant chain, which opened its first UK store in Luton in 1985. Since then, the concept has spread rapidly, with over 900 branches throughout the UK; only a handful of these are restaurants, allowing diners to eat in, alongside the usual takeaway service.
Chantelle Lighting worked alongside design company IPR Interiors on the Domino's eateries in Catterick, Stocksbridge, Hull and Magherafelt.
Mirroring the brand itself, the venues are fun, quirky and vivacious in terms of interior design and layout. It was important that the lighting kept in line with this theme, whilst looking classy and elegant.
We supplied three of our products including a burnt iron pole with assorted cages
. This is a quirky piece which contains five assorted cages, all with a different filament lamp. These fittings are draped from the ceiling, hanging over the booths in the restaurant area.
Black and bronze pendants
are scattered throughout, adding a new depth of colour and vitality. The geometric lines are enhanced by the warm glow from the filament bulbs. Situated alongside one another, the fittings are eye-catching and complement the rest of the lighting.
The final product we provided for the sites was a single wire copper pendant
which is simple yet really effective in-situ. The copper tones, alongside the other products we showcased at the sites, create a warm, welcoming and fun atmosphere.
All four sites look incredible and it's been a job well done by all. The fun element of the brand is visible throughout the eatery, and both eating in and taking out guests can be inspired by the interior design and funky concept on offer.
Anthony Holly, managing director said: "Domino's Pizza is a huge high street brand, so we were thrilled to be a part of the design process for the four sites.
"It was a great project to work on, and we're looking forward to many more as the company continues to grow its restaurants in the UK.
