The Forest in Fence is the latest addition to the award-winning Seafood Pub Company group. The venue has undergone a complete transformation and the modern bar and brasserie now boasts a stunning interior of bleached oaks, natural materials and muted tones.

Serving a Mediterranean inspired menu, the Forest is a fantastic place for diners and drinkers to relax in a contemporary setting.

The challenge

Chantelle Lighting has worked with the Seafood Pub Company from the start on a number of its other venues across Lancashire. The picturesque, gastro pubs in the group are modern, yet comfortable and welcoming.

The Pendle area needed a venue which was contemporary and modern, suitable for both eating and drinking; this was to be reflected through the menu and décor.

Chantelle was asked to create a number of bespoke fittings, which were unique and would create the right mood, ambience and setting as the venue shifted from day to night time.

The clientele during the day is sightly different to night time, so it was important that the lighting mirrored this, and portrayed the correct atmosphere 

The Solution

Chantelle manufactured a range of light fittings throughout the venue, including the restaurant, stairs, hallway and the bedrooms.

The lighting in the restaurant sets the scene for diners as soon as they enter the building; our adjustable double and single arm wall lights are dotted throughout.  The pewter finish complements the soft interiors nicely, creating a warm, cosy atmosphere.  Our industrial pewter mesh wall lights are also displayed throughout the rear restaurant area, again creating gentle, relaxed lighting for diners.

A number of other fittings included a bespoke multi pendant with hanging glass cone shades, which features on the stairs leading up the bedrooms. It is an eye-catching, glamourous piece designed to create that wow factor for guests staying overnight.

The hallway leading to the bedrooms is lined with our fabric pleated wall lights.  The ivory shades blend beautifully with the natural colour of the walls; a simplistic yet effective look.

The Result

Since opening in August 2016, the Forest has been full to capacity most days, with customers commenting regularly on the welcoming look and feel of the restaurant.
