A chandelier is a big investment, which is why doing your research before making your choice is so important. Below are some of the things we advise our clients to consider before buying a chandelier.

1.     Decide the style of chandelier you want

Chandeliers are available in numerous styles, from the crystal adorned to the minimalistic and traditional to the super modern. Great news that there is so much choice, but which one is the right one for you?

We suggest doing a bit of online research and creating a mood board of the styles that jump out at you. Don’t worry if you have a range of styles you like, it gives us something to discuss and work with.

  1. Consider your space

You’ve got an idea of what you’d like, the next question is, does it fit your style and space? Think about the height of your ceiling and how low your chandelier might be able to go. This will help determine the drop you might have. Also think about the width of the space where you want the chandelier to go – what size would be too big, too small or just right?

What you love in someone else’s home may well look out of place in yours, but don’t worry, everything is customisable to your own style and space and we’re here to advise you every step of the way.

  1. Think weight

It’s not the first thing people think about when choosing a chandelier, but it’s so very important. A chandelier can get very heavy when working with a number of tiers, so you need to be sure that your ceiling can hold the fitting once in place. Again, we can advise on what the weight is likely to be and what you might need in place before fitting.

The beauty of working with us is that we take care of the installation for you and organise all the equipment needed to do so safely.
