Ask anyone to think about the 1950s and 60s and a smile will probably creep onto their face as they reminisce about rock and roll, colourful American diners and summer festivals.
Well now you can relive these memories, as more and more designers are using retro inspired lighting in their projects.
Steel, chrome, brass and coloured glass light fittings are featuring heavily in briefs for bars and restaurants as designers take their inspiration from the styles and fashions of the past.
"We have seen an increase in designers taking a trip down memory lane and sourcing nostalgic light fittings for their projects," said Anthony Holly, Chantelle Lighting Managing Director. "From schoolhouse pendants to brass wall lights, as well as lots of bespoke retro designs, we are loving seeing a little bit of history creeping back into venues across the country."
