Fall in love with these fantastic Valentine's venues

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so just how will you be treating your loved one this year? Chocolates, flowers, perfume – the usual suspects. But, we can guarantee that over half of the nation will be spoiling their loved one with a special meal in a fancy restaurant or hotel.

And that’s where we at Chantelle Lighting come in, as we’ve worked with a multitude of prestigious, high end restaurants and hotels throughout the country, which are the perfect location for Valentine’s Day.

We handpicked five of our favourites; our ‘moody’ light fittings have created a romantic, sultry atmosphere, making them go to destinations with your loved one.

The Midland Hotel

One of Manchester’s most distinctive buildings, the Midland Hotel is renowned for its elaborate architecture and is every bit as beautiful inside as outside. We played an integral part in the renovation of the spa area, providing a feature light which hangs in the centre of the relaxation room, between four sleep pods. The lighting we provided helped to create a calming and soothing environment, perfect for a Valentine’s getaway.

Copper Blossom

Keeping in line with ‘moody’ lighting which creates a certain experience for the customer, this restaurant is cute and a little quirky. Located in Edinburgh, the owners have created a well-loved living room vibe, channelling vintage floral fabrics and festooning foliage. Our antique table lamps and oversized fringed shades are exactly what you’d expect from the lighting and work well to enhance the vintage, nostalgic theme.

Spread across the globe, MASH restaurants have a design layout which is exclusive, masculine, warm and simple. The principle is to create as much lighting as possible at table level, to help create intimacy in the red booths, which have become a real iconic and signature feature of the brand. Intimacy – a word which we all associate with Valentine’s Day; if you’re heading to London, Denmark or Germany, this could be the place to spend the 14th.

The Pit

Don’t be put off by the name, this is a concept which has got it just right. Located in Leeds, Chapel Allerton, Harrogate and Headingly, the bar is urban and industrial with low level, mood lighting to create the perfect atmosphere. If you’re looking for an edgy, urban destination to spend Valentine’s Day, then this is for you.

Dirty Blonde

A venue in Brighton which transitions from day to night time effortlessly and is equally stunning whatever time of day you choose to visit. We manufactured a number of bespoke pieces, including large circular framed feature lights with antique frames and opal glass globes. We then complemented these with vintage decanter pendant lights which give a warm ambience over the tables in the dining area. The lighting looks just as impressive in the afternoon as it does at 3AM. Keep your visit short and sweet, or stay until the early hours of the morning, this is certainly a venue we’d recommend.
